Francesca and Walter are dreamers, and welcoming them on “Vacanze Sportive Toscana” brings us immense joy.
For years, they harbored the idea of creating a place dedicated to tourists choosing Venturina Terme, a fraction of the municipality of Campiglia Marittima, renowned since the Etruscan times for the Aquae Populaniae, the waters that spring from the thermal crater at a temperature of 36°C, as a base for their dynamic and wellness holidays in Tuscany.

Hello guys, share with your future guests who you are and who they’ll be lucky to meet by booking your apartment, which carries the essence of the sea, for their holidays in Venturina Terme.
Francesca: “I have dedicated my life to tourism, starting with tourist assistance in large hotels abroad, then as a receptionist, and finally managing several hospitality facilities in Italy. I love languages and have learned 6 in my journey, and currently, I am the commercial director of a winery. I have always dreamed of having my own facility, where I could welcome guests and make them feel at home.
Walter: “I’m a crane operator and before meeting Francesca I was a calm man, with my passions and hobbies. She came into my life like a whirlwind: a succession of new ideas and projects, like the most desired, the 43° Parallelo. But it’s also why she became my wife!”
How did the 43rd Parallel come about, and why did you choose this name? You’ve realized the dream of hosting guests for holidays in Val di Cornia, but what was your starting point?
“We love the sea, and it’s crucial to find your bearings in it, which is why we chose to name the apartment after the parallel that crosses through us. When you blend passions with dreams, wonderful things always come to fruition. We had to renovate our house located in the ‘Lumiere’ subdivision in Venturina Terme, on the road leading to San Vincenzo. During the renovation, the idea of welcoming guests ‘into our home’ emerged, and thus the 43° Parallelo was born—an independent apartment in a residential area surrounded by the lush Tuscan countryside.”
We love stories that begin with a dream and then come to life. Can you tell us more about your apartment and the services you offer to those who choose ‘your home’ as a base for exploring Val di Cornia and the medieval villages around it?
“The apartment is a ground-floor studio with private parking and a livable terrace to enjoy the Tuscan countryside atmosphere and dine outside.
The bed is set inside a small boat in a unique environment that also serves as a living area with a kitchenette equipped with everything needed for cooking. We have equipped it with all comforts: Wi-Fi, refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine, satellite TV, and air conditioning. You will find all the bed and bathroom linens, and if necessary, we have an armchair that turns into a single bed, and the bathroom is equipped with a whirlpool shower. We pay attention to details and nothing is left to chance.”
