What is Scoglietto of Portoferraio?
Scoglietto of Portoferraio is a small islet almost devoid of vegetation, about 1.5 km from the Capo Bianco beach.
This minor island of the Tuscan Archipelago is the focal point of the biological protection area established in 1971, called Le Ghiaie – Scoglietto – Capo Bianco, and is topped by a historic lighthouse from 1910.
The Scoglietto of Elba Island is a true marine sanctuary where fishing is completely prohibited. The result? An explosion of underwater life that turns every dive into an unforgettable adventure.

How does the experience with Baratti Diving work?
Recreational dives at Elba Island are conducted as a Mini-Fullday from June to September, for a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 10 people:
- Meeting at 8:30 AM at the dive center on the pier of Baratti port
- Briefing and equipment assembly
- Departure by inflatable boat around 9:15 AM
- First dive after 40/50 minutes of navigation
- 1-hour break with snack
- Second dive at a new site
- Return to Baratti by 3:00 PM at the latest
What's included in the dive?
By booking the diving experience at Scoglietto of Portoferraio with the Baratti Dive Center, you will have included:
- Tanks and weights (possibility to rent the rest of the equipment)
- Navigation by inflatable boat to Elba Island
- Two dives of approximately 45 minutes each
- Snack with fruit, flatbread, and water
