The ASD Tennis Association of Piombino, founded in 1971, is a cornerstone of tennis in Tuscany. For over 50 years, the club has nurtured and developed tennis talent in the region, becoming the center for sporting, social, and competitive activities.
ATP: Tennis in Piombino near to sea
The ATP has steadily grown over the years. The facility, which also includes a bar and a small gym, currently has 6 tennis courts, including two indoor, with clay, concrete, and carpet surfaces.
The tennis club boasts a community of about 100 members and 300 students who regularly use the facilities.
The quality of training and the expertise of the federal instructors have led the club’s teams to achieve high levels of competition. The women’s team is now a contender in Serie B, while the men’s team competes in the D1 championship. Additionally, many club athletes have climbed the national rankings, achieving success in both individual tournaments and team championships.
Each summer, the club organizes tennis summer camps in Piombino, attracting around a hundred children who enthusiastically participate in recreational and educational activities.
From 2006 to 2019, tennis club organized the International Tournament with a prize pool of $15,000, one of the few events of this level in Tuscany. The tournament hosted international players such as Matteo Berretti, Stefano Tsitsipas, helping to put Piombino on the world tennis map.

Currently, the tennis club in Val di Cornia, offers opportunities for tennis players of all ages and levels. The club’s tennis school is one of the most renowned in Tuscany, with about 100 young members aged 5 to 17 and just as many adults, and can rely on instructors, teachers, and national coaches:
